Large World Balloon

Up and away! High above the tree tops the mind travels with memories of the first hot air balloons. This Vintage Collectable titled Large World Balloon is reminiscent of types of hot air balloons that made their way across the globe. Operated with hot air and heavy weights, navigation was tricky in the wind. A well worn basket indicates many a rough landing. Held together with whatever means necessary, these delicate vessels required some maintenance and old balloon pilots would often make repairs in the air. The patches in this globe indicate that the World Balloon comes apart much easier than it goes back together. Repairs can be difficult. Care and caution in the air is advised.
