The Boot

"The Boot" is a blend of assembled items that shape the work into it's title. The contrast of these items becomes the soul of the Boot and adds to the overall theme. Resembling the shape of a cowboy's boot, this vintage collectable sculpture contains an old cobblers iron foot tool of the trade. A vintage silver shoe tip tops off this piece at the toe and contains a hidden shoe horn. At the top of the Boot is an old garden trowel and functional long tongs. Adding to the western theme, a dated Indian head nickel serves as an ornament inside a spur-like star mounted on an old carpenter's chalk line. The old wood ax handle holds just the right contour and displays many additional items including the kinetic brass bell. A vintage "E-Z SHINE" boot stretcher adds structural support to the overall shape of the Boot. Other items of interest include hooks and latches and a spring loaded buckle.
